Also would be gratefull if someone could perhaps suggest other allternatives im open about anything!…the idea is to move into my partners mothers back garden in a largeish log cabin but would like it to be our main space to get away from things and obviousley sleep there does anyone have any suggestions on inserlation to keep it warm or any other worrying things that may accur?…

For Spring break, I am thinking of going to Big Bend State park in Texas. I wish I could take my Rv. What do you think? What do you recommend?

And if you can recommend lodging (Like cedar or log cabins nestled up in the hills) what do you suggest?

I have recently been thinking of building my own house. The railroad where we live has just replaced a bunch of their rail ties and I was wondering if it would be safe to use them as building material for a house.

I have seen old buildings that have been built using rail ties. My main concern is that the ties are treated with creosote and that might create a health issue as well as problems with getting the house insured.

I was thinking that you can build the house using the same techniques as building a log cabin. Just use mortar between the ties and then use a laquer finish on the interior walls. Would this work?

so i recentley decided that life kinda sucks alot and i came up with the best life plan for me and i was wondering what you think of it. my plan is to just forget evreyone i know and go live out in the middle of know where all by myself i was thinking of just living off the land and making a log cabin all by myself cuz basicley that sounds like the life for me. a bitter person who lives in the middle of nowhare. which evreybody will forget what do you think of it

It has darker varnish on wood paneling. since it is downstairs, there is not much light coming through. I was thinking of recess lights….I don’t know how else to bring in light. It has tile flooring, looks like a hunting lodge/wine cellar/log cabin.
