    We sell the Laura Chalet as follows:

    Cabin Cost – £8,378 in 45mm thick logs
    – £9,795 in 60mm thick logs
    – £13,189 in 95mm thick logs

    Bitumen roofing shingles – £470

    Cabin build on customer prepared site – £1,500
    But all our buildings are DIY friendly and as you see we give you all the support you need. Hope this helps.

    All the tools that are required by the customer are shown at the beginning of the film. The only other thing needed is a good solid base.

    We recommend treating the wood with a high quality preservative like Sikkens, Sadolin or Liberon. We can get products that are guaranteed to protect for up to 10 years.

    here in the US those are called 2×4’s, not logs.

    There are 2 different types of log used for log cabin construction “handcrafted” and “milled”. In the US the 1st is popular while in Europe the 2nd is the log of choice. We at Logspan sell the “milled” verity because it is quicker to construct, easier to seal and still has a life expectancy of over 40 years.
