Not stupid to have log siding in TX or in town. Primarily log had been used where there is access to lots of logs and be more economical, not because it is cold or hot. In city of Sioux Falls, SD has many houses IN TOWN with log siding and some ARE log houses which look very nice. This is listed as the plains and in the city.

Vinyl & metal siding has less maintenance.

Just landscape or yard decor according to whatever you had chosen for accent.

I think log cabins were built all over the country, not just in the mountains. The key to whether it would look odd would be if you are in a sub-division, or out on a spread of land. So my opinion would be yes, do the siding if you are out in the country, and no, don’t do the siding if you are in town.

the Loch Tay area is beautiful and so is the West coast.

Google for info on cabins, holiday cottages etc. I’ve always found accommodation such as cottages/cabins to be cheaper in Scotland than elsewhere in the UK – not sure why, could be because it is further to go for most. But the scenery……….absolutely wonderful.

I’m very envious – I wish I was going too!

why don’t you go to your member center from sbc and see if you can link your yahoo account to your sbcyahoo account that way you can switch back and forth between the two accounts hell you might even get the benefit of getting an extra gigabyte for free from 1gb to 2gb

Complete a search for newspapers in the Akron area. Once you find the newspaper, search the obit archives for that time period. You should find it listed in there.

A lot of people have been complaining about Internet Explorer 7. I don’t think it works very well. Maybe you should try going back to a previous version of Explorer.
